Organization of the BioMag Laboratory

BioMag is owned jointly by the Helsinki University Central Hospital, the Aalto University School of Science and Technology and the University of Helsinki. It is operated in the hospital as part of the HUS Medical Imaging Center. Owner interests are overseen by the Director of the hospital and the rectors of the two universities.

Strategic goals of the BioMag Laboratory

  • Develop clinical applications of bioelectromagnetism and provide services for clinical needs
  • Carry out scientific, technical and clinical research on high international level
  • Train young researchers to a high level of competence
  • Operate on collaborative basis aiming at networking excellence
  • Develop technology in the research area
  • Achieve high visibility of the published research on high-level international forums.
